BATICIC - Steel construction and boiler making company

As from its creation in 1967 the SN METAL had 08 nationalised units which belonged to foreign capital out of which 03 of them are now part of the BATICIC capital (that is, Durafour workshops of Algiers, Annaba, and the SOC of Oran).
The restructuration of 1982-1983 of SN METAL gave birth to 05 national companies :

ENCC to manufacture heavy equipment

FERROVIAL for railway equipment

The ENF for heavy boiler making
and steel foundry

PROMETAL for metal office equipment ,radiators and stoves, cookers, metal products pressings and enamelled

BATIMETAL is specialised in metal frameworks and metal works and structures to be used by social infrastructures like parking, schools storage areas and distribution, hospitals and others

BATIMETAL inherited also projects under progress to support the production of metal supports to be used by high electrification national programmes ,low and medium voltages; project of simple panels production and sandwich panels as well as a former unit belonging to ONAMHYD.

Then on December 30 1997 further to a second restructuration of companies which are relevant to the portfolio of the public holding called SIDMET, the BATICIC company was positioned as a subsidiary the BATIMETAL group.
In this respect, it inherited units of production for metal frame and boiler making and became therefore agent of the “heart of the basic craft” of BATIMETAL(source: extract from ALGERIE. Guide économique et social/ Anep édition 1989).
